UPCOMING EVENTS include:

  • Jan. 26: Special presentation –
    Tim O’Neill and Roy Kropp will do a tag team presentation on a variety of subjects related to image techniques and post processing.
    Topics include:
    • PANORAMAS—simple shooting and processing in CS5
    • FOCUS STAKING—shooting and processing in CS5
    • SOLARIZATION–as done by the resident filters in Photoshop
    • INFRA-RED PRIMER–color and monochrome
    • HDR—software updates on NIK HDR, Efex and Photomatix
    • OFF CAMERA FLASH
    • LIVE VIEW—how to use it, if your camera has it
    • And other topics, as time permits.
    There will also be a “swap meet” before the presentation, during a break, and after the presentation. Bring some equipment you might want to sell or trade and interact with other members, potential buyers. NOTE: The club itself is NOT involved in any “swap meet” transaction.
  • Feb. 9: Competition night – Special subject is “Environmental Portraits”
    – Capture a defining image of someone else OR yourself; this is not a photo of the environment, but one that captures the essence of the subject.
    For internet articles that might help you with this asssignment check the “Coming Events” TAB for their URLS. You may need to copy the URLS and then paste them into your web browser address feild.

CLUB MEETINGS are held 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings at 7 pm, January through October, and once in November and December, in the old sanctuary (rear building) of the Dungeness Community Church, at Sequim-Dungeness Way & Eberle Ln., about 4 miles north of Washington Street in Sequim, Washington.

  • The first meeting of the month is devoted to printed and digital image competitions. While guests are encouraged to attend, one must be a member to enter images in the competitions.
  • The second meeting of the  month usually features guest presenters or photographic workshops.

MEMBERSHIP is open to anyone interested in digital or print photography. Membership Dues are $25 for individuals, or $30 for a family per year.

Guests and new members are always welcome.

If you have a question, please ask a member. This is a “people club”. We want everyone to feel at home and enjoy our activities. If it isn’t fun, why have a club?

CLUB PURPOSE: To promote interest and enhance skill in photography among friends.

Our members:

  • Work both in both film and digital imaging.
  • Compete on assigned and other subjects with in-club competitions and helpful commentaties by experienced photographers.
  • Assist one another in improving our photographic skills with workshops, guest presentations and one-on-one mentoring.
  • Take group photo field trips, attend Northwest Council of Camera Clubs conventions, and seminars.
  • Compete in PSA And NW Council of Camera Clubs contests.
  • Enjoy travelogues, nature programs
  • …and much more.

Olympic Peaks Camera Club is member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA), and the Northwest Council of Camera Clubs (NWCCC).
